Farm Dog Certification Practice will take place at the Farm - Saturday April 22nd from 10-Noon. These Farm Dog sessions will be done on a drop in basis for anyone who is interested in gaining their Farm Dog title in May. If you are interested but can’t make any of the scheduled sessions - let Sam know by using the Contact page (SchaSamFarm@yahoo.com) so we can synch up calendars. Each individual dog practice should be about 30 minutes of time; getting used to the stock (goats and maybe Steve the peacock and maybe miniature horses? - who knows what will be at the Farm!), going through gates, dealing with farm noises, loose leash walking around farm related obstacles, ignoring another dog walking by, getting up on straw bales and nicely submitting to a little grooming session by the dog’s handler are all parts of the actual certification. Cost for the drop in session is $30 payable at the time of practice. Please bring your dog to the session on a flat buckle collar and solid leash (no choke, pinch, martingales or flexi leads). Dogs must be current on rabies vaccine.
