Let’s hunt for some ratties!

SchaSam Barn Hunt Club hosts Barn Hunt Association sanctioned barn hunt trials during the summer. We have also hosted Judge’s Workshops for Barn Hunt Association (BHA) and held Fun Matches to assist getting new judges certified. Holding Barn Hunt trials takes a lot of volunteer work. Our trials are normally three day trials, held in three separate rings. Instinct, Novice & Open runs are held in the small ring in back of the office barn. Senior & Crazy 8 runs are in the big barn and Master has it’s own ring beside the Office Barn (see site map above). All of our blinds are 10x20 foot pop ups set on grass which provide you space to focus your dog before your hunt. We award ribbons for placements and qualifying as well as Rat Champion (RATCH), High in Class, new title ribbons, and Crazy 8 sashes. Our events are a lot of fun and fill fast. We have trials scheduled in May (2-4), July (11-13) & August (15-17) 2025. Those events and their entry forms are posted on the Barn Hunt Association website calendar as well as on this website under events when approved.
